Thrift Score Thursday #45

Merry Christmas! Premature? Well, okay. But, today we’re celebrating thrifted Holiday finds, yay!

Are you ready for some #ThriftScoreThursday Awesomeness?!

Have no idea what I’m talking about and want in? It’s easy!

Simply snap a picture of any recent thrifty find and share it on Instagram or Twitter using #thriftscorethursday!

Occassionally we host themed Thrift Score Thursday posts and we’ve got a Christmas themed features post today! Todays features are holiday thrift finds, but we’ll be resuming regular features on our next Thrift Score Thursday. Also, we won’t be posting and hosting on the 25th in observance of Christmas and January 1st in observance of New Years.

Christmas Thrift Score Thursday

The Details:

  • We want you to participate! Hit up your local thrift stores, craigslist, yard sales, estate sales, side of the road, anything! Thrifty doesn’t necessarily mean from a thrift store. We want to see your good deals, wacky finds and treasures.
  • Don’t feel like you need to save those finds for Thursdays! Yes, features are shared on our blogs and Instagram on Thursdays, but we’re all checking in on (and using!) the hashtag all week long. So, when you see/find it, feel free to share it!
  • Each week, Trisha from Black and White Obsession, Cassie from Primitive and Proper, Brynne from The Gathered Home and Myself (For My Love Of) will pick a favorite thrift score or two to feature! So please note that by linking up with #thriftscorethursday, you are giving us permission to share your finds via social media or on our blogs.

The Features:

I want to thank everyone who submitted their thrifty holiday finds. We always appreciate it when you guys jump on board for a themed #ThriftScoreThursday. I know we’re all sharing extra features this week because there are just so many fantastic finds!

BumbleBreeBlog- [Account] [♡Photo] [Blog]- Vintage light bulbs have always had a place in my heart. They just evoke a feeling of nostalgia. I adore what Bree did with hers!

TSFinds- [Account] [♡Photo]- Ceramic christmas tree with engineered base. I think this one was a no brainer feature choice. These ceramic christmas trees are beautiful and coveted. I’m lucky to have one myself, but Turena actually engineered this really fab metal base as her tree was missing the base. I like the look of her innovative base more than my authentic one!

LouLouMint9260- [Account] [♡Photo] [Etsy]- Needlepoint art. I know Brynne just loved this one with her obsession for needlepoint art. I can’t say that I’ve ever been drawn to it, but this piece is too beautiful. So many little details and the scene itself is fascinating.

DecorAndTheDog- [Account] [♡Photo] [Blog]- Adorable reindeer. How much more can I say about the cutest, happiest looking deer in the world? The whole vignette is just stunning, I heart the book,s tree, and vintage radio, too.

ThedaysOfSummerBlog- [Account] [♡Photo] [Blog]- Vintage creamer and sugar canisters. While I know I would personally never have a use for such adorable containers, I know I would absolutely have to buy them. The vintage Christmas trees and gold detail are Christmas-perfect.

My Finds:

The finds I’m sharing this week are totally cheating because I didn’t actually buy or find either of them. First up is this ceramic Christmas tree. I’ve seen loads of these popping up everywhere! I asked my mom if she still had hers last year. While I was a child my parents would keep the ceramic tree displayed in their bedroom. I remember it being such a special thing. They didn’t want to risk one of us breaking it and I’m so glad because now it’s mine.

I’ve shared the story of my Vintage Broyhill China cabinet before, but I wanted to share her all decked out for the holiday. She sure does clean up nicely.

And finally, my grandmother passed this fiber optic village display to me last year or the year before and I finally found time to pull it out and get it displayed. The bubby and I enjoy so much sitting together and taking the moment to stare at the pretty lights. It’s sits atop my Mother’s day gift earlier this year, my fab vintage gold bar cart.

And, completely unrelated, check out this adorbs doe Anna sent to me. Isn’t it the cutest? I love the treatment she gave to the basic figurine. I arrived home so late last night and it cheered me up and sat right beside me through preparing this whole post 😀
